The Desert Sandblasters 4-H club was founded in 1987 and serves the Coachella Valley, Ca.

We have several different projects that our  members participate in.   Many of our members enter their  projects in local and county fairs.  We participate in county presentation day and  encourage our members to complete a record book for their projects.  We have a project to assist members with their record books.

We have community service projects throughout the year.  Alot of our community service projects are made possible by the community support that we recieve.

The Role of Parents

4-H is based on family involvement. Generally, children are accompanied by a parent or other adult during meetings. This is important for safety around animals and also to foster the family learning aspects of 4-H. Parents also help by organizing specific meetings or field trips, preparing meeting activities and assisting leaders.
