To All Desert Sandblasters:

If you know of anyone that would be interested in helping us with this
project, please copy the information below and pass it on. We will
need everyone's help to make this project a success. Please see the
items needed and let me know if you can help with any of them. We are
trying to get help with the BBQ so we can concentrate on the clean up.
So if you know of anyone or group that can help there, let me know.

We only have a few weeks to prepare, so your prompt assistance is appreciated.
Thank you, CV FFA Clean Up Committee

Desert Sandblaster’s 4-H
National 4-H Week: To Make A Difference Project

Coachella Valley FFA Farm Clean Up Day

Saturday, October 4, 2008
Purpose: The Desert Sandblaster’s 4-H Club has chosen to help the
Coachella Valley FFA clean up their school farm for National 4-H Week:
To Make a Difference Project. Due to school budget cuts, the farm is
not operating up to its full potential. With the help of the community,
the agriculture program at CV High could be an excellent program,
attracting more students to pursue careers in agriculture.

Farm Background: The farm sets in the SE corner of CV High School located
at Ave 55 and Van Buren in Coachella. It is approximately 10 acres, with
2 animal structures housing swine, poultry, sheep, goats, etc., 3 acres
for horses, 1.5 acres for parking/storage/sports, 2-3 fallow acres available
for crop production, time and staff permitting, and 1 acre of citrus. Also,
an 18’ x 40’ greenhouse is on the property and is currently in use.
